Software Summary
Thank you for visiting my hypertext markup language (HTML) learning tool. My website may be simple in design and structure, but it has been a great learning experience for me. I am proud to say that I have never edited any part of my website with the assistance of an HTML editor. Of course, one advantage to using an HTML editor is that you don't end up spending a lot of time searching for missing tag components - which I have done. But the learning experience of manual HTML editing is very thorough.
Macintosh®: TextWrangler
® is the primary text editing tool. That may be cheating a little bit, since TextWrangler highlights the HTML language in various colors depending on whether one is using the language correctly or not. Graphic Converter
® is what I use for graphics work. It is an inexpensive application that allows me to adjust JPEG image sizes depending on what I need. And FUGU
® is what I use to upload pages.
Windows®: When I'm working on the Windows side of my computer, I use Notepad
® for editing text, and Photo Editor
® for JPEG management. I try to test my web pages in Internet Explorer
® as soon as a technique I've learned to use works with FireFox
®. And since I am in Windows at the time I use Win SCP3
® to upload text and images.
Style Sheets Revisited: This is the one and only page on my website that uses "Inline Cascading Style Sheets". There is one "Internal Style Sheet" on my website - it's controlling a specific format in my "Work History" resume.
A Fairly Recent Photo (2009-03-27)
As for my portrait, I am trying to look as nerdy as possible. How did I do?
