Shimano TL-PD63
This is a picture of a double socket tool made by Shimano for overhauling their SPD pedals. This combination takes a lot of the strife out of my seasonal pedal bearing maintenance. |

Shimano Lockring Removal Tool (TL-LR15)
This TL-LR15 has been semi-permanently installed in a Craftsman 15/16 6 point socket using oil-saturated paper-board. There is quite a bit of overkill in the rachet I think. I believe that the driver size of the lockring removal tool is intended to support a specialized wrench that is used primarily on bicycles, but this arrangement is so much easier for me to control. |

PiNHEAD® Key (Customized)
This was another one of those "at my own risk" things. The original parts had to be machined so they would fit together. That, of course, voids the warrantees on both tools. I used a solid carbide drill bit to drill the tension-pin hole in the socket. The specially coded PiNHEAD skewer-nut has been included to mask key configuration for the picture. |
